Lake Louise
V2.0 Beta 040 update
June 24, 2015
Hi there, it's getting closer and closer to release now, this update
includes the following:
All the layouts and preliminary AI lines and track maps
Reverb sound effects throughout the track
Updated road shader settings
Tree collisions
Tweaked LOD settings (Rift users seem to see invisible road with last
setting)
Some AI lines are good while some have a tendency to crash, that'll be
fixed before final release. The reverb seems controversial. Some say
it's too loud and same say it's not loud enough. I'll see if we have a
consensus and make tweaks as per feedback. If you like to tweak reverb,
It's in each race layout's data/audiosource.ini file

Thanks for supporting me in making Lake Louise! I'll be taking a little
bit of a break and go on a real road trip the next couple of weeks, but
I'll be keeping an eye on the forum and try to reply to emails!

How to tweak AI line:
The AI lines will require tweaking. For those who like to help, I'd
like to have a competition for the fastest AI line for every single
layout. Use the following procedure to make and edit AI line:
1.Enable dev apps
The official AI recording app needs to be enabled before it can be
used, to enable this edit the assetto_corsa.ini config file located in
your steam library:
SteamApps\common\assettocorsa\system\cfg\assetto_corsa.ini and replace
the 0 with a 1
[AC_APPS]
ENABLE_DEV_APPS=1
2.Install AC editor
https://steamdb.info/app/302530/
3.Record your own AI line or skip to Step 4 to edit the line already
included
To record AI line, open up AI app in game.
For the loop layouts, start in hotlap mode, drive car 2-3 meters past
the start/finish line and hit record. Ensure car is on the center line
to start with. Drive smoothly on the racing line, speed does NOT matter
at all. Upon finishing a lap, ensure car is on the center yellow line
for the last 200 meters. Cross the start finish and you'll see the AI
line appear in game. EXIT the game, game will freeze for a few seconds
while AI line is being saved.
For the A->B layouts, start in hotlap mode, start recording
immediately until the finish line. EXIT the game, game will freeze for
a few seconds while AI line is being saved.
4. Run AC editor, load up the included "AI Line.fbx". Load up the AI
line you wish to edit.

Follow this video.
Some tips: Click on edit spline
Select start point
Select End point
Select 1st ball control point, click closest to start point, then work
your way towards the End point. Ensure you have at least 7 (not 5!)
control points or the line edit will not save (kunos bug)
5.Tips on making the AI line faster:
Ensure AI doesn't crash, they have a tendency to crash on tight
downhill corners. Edit/Record line so that the AI hugs the inside of
the corner, or make AI line wiggle left and right a bit so they'll
reduce speed before the tight corner.
Line up jumps so AI will have a straight landing, then they won't try
to brake upon landing
Once the AI line is complete, load up the game in hot lap mode. Use the
Ferrari 458 road car as the benchmark at 100% strength. Click on "Start
AI" in the AI app. Let the AI run a lap, record the lap time and post
on the forum. You can also use a different car as well, but do post a
458 lap time just so it's possible to do a comparison.
If you run into issues, post in this thread on the forum for help:
